Chicago's DDPP was the first off-shoot chapter of the New York phenomenon. Roommates, friends and dance machines Jenn Brandel and Jenn Salvatore ran the Chicago chapter for over 5 years, eventually taking over as the DDPP Mothership and helping many, many groups start up in cities around the world. In the spring of 2011, they passed their duties on to a group of new den mamas too numerous to name. Oh, what the heck: Amy Letcher, Catherine Carrigan, Jill Westerfelhaus, Kelley Clink (now emeritus), Kelly Peraino, Kristen Studard and Unity Ostercamp!
